Our Programs: Weatherford
In 2008, Weatherford became home to our newest program area, the Single Parent Family (SPF) Program. It is designed to help single mothers who are facing homelessness due to poverty, abuse, divorce, incarceration, abandonment, violence or another crisis. Families in the SPF program live in a transitional residential home located in Weatherford.
The Single Parent Family Program can serve 3 to 4 families at any one time. We help single mothers who are facing homelessness for a variety of reasons. Program services are also available for families living in the community that may need the same services without the residential care. Women must be at least 18 years old and have at least one child to participate in the program.
Housed at Grace First Presbyterian Church, the Weatherford Child & Family Program provides a variety of services to help families stay together in times of crisis. We work with families to address their physical, emotional, social, educational, spiritual and financial concerns. Services include visiting families to assess their needs, helping them develop goals and providing counseling at no cost to the families in need.
