Our Programs: Dallas
Dallas is home to two Child & Family Program locations. The first opened in 2003 with help from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and the second was established in 2007 at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church.
Both programs work to help preserve families in the Dallas area that are experiencing crisis, including financial hardship, physical or mental illness, or emergency situations. The Child & Family Programs seek to restore security and provide stability through a variety of Christ-centered services, such as:
- building parenting and life skills
- helping families locate and access community resources
- offering family and individual counseling
- teaching the importance of daily routines, managing behaviors and healthy relationships.
In Dallas, the Child & Family staff conducts “Love and Logic” parenting classes, which help parents learn new techniques to help with the challenges of raising their children. They also hold self-esteem groups for teen girls, which provides a group approach for young women facing the difficulty of growing up and changes within themselves.
